PROJECT: CHANGDE YUAN RIVER SOUTHBANK URBAN RENEWAL
LOCATION: CHINA, HUNAN PROVINCE, CHANGDE
CLIENT:  JIANGNAN CITY DEVELOPMENT + CHANGDE CITY GOVERNMENT

The site is located on the ‘undeveloped’ south back of the Yuan River, a major transportation tributary of the great Chang Jiang (Yangze River); directly opposite from the vibrant central business district of Changde; a prosperous third tier city. The design included the preparation of the land use and development masterplan, with design concepts for the foreshore; integration of the river city bund flood wall, with its traditional focal towers; the southbank harbour and civic square, and open space links.
