PROJECT: JIN TAN QIANZI LAKE

Preparation of a masterplan and detail design for the 20 kilometre foreshore edge of Qianzi Lake, one of the mythical locations for the famous ‘Dong Yun’ double seven ‘Couples Day’ legend, on which our design for the major bridge which crosses the lake, is based. This is a large staged project, with more than twenty lakeside action plans prepared, including the city centre foreshore plaza; urban parkland; harbour retail watertown; lakeside entertainment and bar street precinct; aquarium and civic lakeside precinct; lakeside arboretum park; reed culture park; sculpture island park; urban camp and recreation fields; eco-wetland and nature park; aquatic farming education precinct; lakeside water sports area and ‘Shuang Qing’ Jiangsu traditional watertown (named after the tragic story of an historic local female poet).
