Landscape planning and design for the upgrade to the MCG surrounding concourses; and for the integration of a ‘Black Sewer Mining Process System’ into the adjacent parkland. This underground six level treatment plant harvests ‘black water’ sewerage from the adjacent street network, and converts the sewerage waste to A grade water suitable for irrigation to the entire MCG and Punt Road oval, and the Yarra Park surrounds. FORMium designed the two discrete architectural glass boxes, which merge into the parkland above, for access to the facility. A detail design was also prepared for the southern plaza entry to the ground.
